Luke Buckle

Luke comes from a background in music journalism, broadcast media and tech startups and is now the social media manager at the Australian Academy of Science. 

While managing website communities, mastering brevity, graphic and video, he embraced social media and developed audiences beyond one million followers for various media outlets. Recognising niche audiences are the future, he moved from a government communications role to now telling the stories of Australia’s peak body for scientists. 

Luke believes that when communicating science, we can use social networks to counter misinformation and promote positivity and openness.
