Liz is the SKA-Low Communications and Engagement Manager, working for the international SKA Observatory (SKAO) and CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency. The SKAO is building two next-generation radio telescopes which will revolutionise our understanding of the Universe. SKA-Low is Australia’s first mega-science facility, under construction on Wajarri Yamaji Country in outback WA, where the Wajarri People are sharing their sky and stars with this global radio astronomy endeavour.


Liz has almost 20 years’ experience in strategic and science communication and community engagement in academia and non-profit organisations, and enjoys sharing stories to inspire the community to engage with science and its essential role in our everyday life.
