Dr Simon Torok

Scientell

Simon Torok is CEO and Director of Scientell (www.scientell.com.au), a science communication business specialising in environmental and climate change communication. He has a Graduate Diploma in Science Communication from the ANU, and completed a PhD in climate change science at the University of Melbourne. Simon has managed communication for CSIRO in Australia and for the Tyndall Centre in England, and was editor of the Helix and Scientriffic magazines. He has published more than 200 newspaper, magazine and scientific journal articles, and co-authored 20 popular science and climate change books.


Cintya Dharmayanti completed her PhD at the University of South Australia in 2024, joining Scientell shortly after. Her PhD research focused on how nanoparticles could be designed to achieve more targeted release of chemotherapy drugs. Outside her research, she is an award-winning science communicator, having been a national finalist in FameLab Australia, and completed an internship at Animate Your Science.
